Love Norma's! The food, service and atmosphere is always excellent. This restaurant is a mid century beauty with jonathan adler accents everywhere and has an outdoor patio set in a beautiful secret garden. The caesar salad is delicious and the rancheros is tasty too. I'm also a fan of their americano espresso and healthy fruit bowl with non sweetened yogurt too (it's served in a hollowed cantaloupe) for breakfast. My hubby loves their daily smoothie!
Norma's was a great spot to stop in for brunch. It filled up pretty quickly on a Saturday morning, but was not overwhelming. Definitely make a reservation ahead of time. A must try is the crunchy French toast. We shared between the group and it was a perfect sweet addition to our savory meals. Our waiter was kind with vegetarian substitutions for the Benedict's. (I.e. sub bacon for avocado). Everyone enjoyed their meals. We sat on the patio and while it was hot, the misters helped keep guests cool. Only downside was the mosquitoes--we were attacked with bug bites. Valet is $15 when validated with a meal ($25 without).
Our experience at NORMA'S was amazing! Our server was Gigi, who was fantastic. Both the restaurant and Hotel lobby/grounds are incredible. Beautiful vibe and design. Ate at NORMA'S for brunch, the food definitely worth every penny- one of the best meals I've ever eaten. We had steak and eggs, irresistible pancakes and the gringo carne asada. Even the drinks and smoothie shots were the best! Even better another server, forgive me I don't remember his name, offered to give us a private tour of the grounds and gave us info on the history of the hotel. We will definitely be back to stay here on future vacations.
I went to Norma's with three friends on my birthday. It was wonderful. Parking is $25 by valet, or you can park out on the street and walk in. The Parker Hotel is a beautiful building, with an eclectic lobby. A lot of cool things to look at. Norma's is tucked in the back left. The restaurant has a large outdoor space but we chose to eat indoors as it was about 103 degrees (June in the desert). We received a warm welcome from the host and service continued to be absolutely great. Tito was our server. He knew a lot about the menu and offered his suggestions. I ordered the "WaZa", which is a fruit stuffed waffle with bruleed brown sugar on top. My friends ordered Huevos Rancheros and the Short-Rib Benedict. We all loved our food. Absolutely delicious. I was also treated with a birthday dessert (chocolate bomb cake) complete with a candle and singing. On our way out, we discovered that two other people were also celebrating their birthdays. Norma's is the perfect spot for celebrations. I look forward to returning in cooler weather to sit on the patio.
Norma's in Palm Springs offers an exquisite dining experience. With a very quirky mid century modern and yet somehow worldly and diverse theme, the ambiance is chic yet cozy, complemented by attentive staff. The menu boasts an equally diverse range of dishes, from classic brunch options to innovative creations. The Upstream Eggs Benedict was a standout, perfectly poached eggs topped with caviar atop salmon lox layered on gluten free bread with a heavenly hollandaise sauce. That's right... they offer gluten free bread. It's a miracle. The fresh and vibrant ingredients showcased the chef's commitment to quality. Prices are on the higher side, my dish was thirty dollars! You might expect a wait before being seated but there is an impressive waiting area with a fireplace and the coolest designer MCM lounge spots. The culinary journey and impeccable service make it a worthwhile indulgence for those seeking a memorable dining experience in Palm Springs.
Super cute restaurant with colorful patio and fun atmosphere. Our server GG (or Gigi??) was super nice and friendly. He was quite knowledgeable about the menu and answered all our questions! I love that they give you a taster shot of the days smoothie flavor - so yummy and fresh! We got huevos rancheros and the sweet potato and turkey hash. Both were delish! I would love to see some meat option with the huevos - maybe carne asada or chorizo? Fun spot!
Our serve, Dahlia, was so cool. She was fun, informative and friendly. She fit with the fun midcentury vibe that was prevalent throughput the whole hotel. They have really cool art pieces that are unique as well as quintessential pieces. The food was great. We had the lobster macaroni and cheese and fish tacos. We started with the crab cakes, the vegan crab cakes and the guacamole and chips. They were all good too but the vegan crab cakes tasted too mushroomy. The drinks were good too. I had a beer and margarita. Their beer selection was small with a cool assortment of foreign options.
Best potato pancakes we've ever had! Definitely worthy of the award, accolades and reviews! Order this item!!! First the ambiance of the hotel lobby is beautiful! Really classy joint! We had brunch outside though since we had our dog and found the tables stained and still dirty from spilled juice from earlier guests. While we enjoyed the bright colors on the benches and sun panels, I found the stains unpleasant. Ambiance 4/5 We really liked they started off complimentary shooters of their smoothie of the day, it was nice welcome drink! We ordered chicken Caesar salad (most beautifully presented with a circular crouton dish!), potato pancakes (also creatively presented), eggs Benedict and French toast. Presentation of the food is truly polished and intentional - very nice!! It was a feast for the eyes and taste buds! We did find the French toast to be too sweet and we weren't able to finish due to sweetness. Food 4/5 Prices are fairly high for Palm Springs. It wouldn't be a regular outing due to cost but I would definitely return for the potato pancakes! Service was friendlish but felt transactional and was inconsistent. Value/service 4/5 Parking via valet only but they do validate to subsidize the parking cost.
